WHO WE ARE

Japan Civil Network for Convention on Biological Diversity（JCN-CBD）, was established in January 2009 in order to form the foundation of the Japanese civil society as a host NGO network of the CBD COP10.  There are three main objectives;

1) Establishment of the foundation of the civil society,

2) Participation in the negotiation process,

3) Expansion the scope of the participation, communication and cooperation.

Under our slogan, “New ways for life on Earth to live in harmony”, more than ten working groups are active in various theme areas such as advocacy, field research, awareness raising, etc.
